Fleas typically enter apartments on pets, but can also come from wildlife, previous tenants, or neighboring units. Once inside, they lay eggs in carpets and furniture. Even pet-free units can develop infestations if fleas migrate from adjacent units or outdoor areas.

We use a combination of adulticides to kill adult fleas and insect growth regulators (IGRs) to prevent eggs and larvae from developing. This dual approach breaks the flea life cycle. We treat carpets, upholstery, pet areas, and baseboards.

Adult fleas die within hours of treatment. However, flea pupae (cocoons) are resistant to treatment and may hatch over the following 2-3 weeks. This is normal—the IGR prevents new fleas from reproducing, and the population dies out.

Residents should vacuum thoroughly, wash pet bedding, and clear floors of items. Pets should be treated by a veterinarian and removed during treatment. We provide detailed preparation instructions to ensure treatment effectiveness.

Our treatments are safe when applied according to label directions. Pets should be removed during treatment and until surfaces are dry (typically 2-4 hours). We use products specifically approved for use in pet-occupied spaces.
